Dr. Dawn Crim to keynote UW-Green Bay Kwanzaa Celebration Dec. 2 | Madison365
Longtime Madisonian Dr. Dawn Crim, who started her new role as UW-Green Bay’s vice chancellor for inclusivity and community engagement this past summer, will be the keynote speaker as the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay hosts a Kwanzaa Celebration on Saturday, Dec. 2 in the Phoenix Rooms of the UW-Green Bay University Union.
Before becoming the vice chancellor for advancement, community engagement and inclusitiy at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Dr. Crim was the consultant for the equity, inclusion and employee well-being unit within the Office of Human Resources at UW-Madison. Prior to that, Crim served as cabinet secretary for the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services in the Gov. Evers administration.
The Kwanzaa Celebration event is also a chance to connect with members of the Black Student Union while also connecting with the community. Special performances and activities will take place including a performance by Ajamou Butler. Local vendor booths will be present as well.
Tickets to attend in person are required and are available for purchase at the UW-Green Bay Information and Ticketing Center or online.
Tickets are free for students at UW-Green Bay and are $12 general public, and $7 for members of other institutions. Children 17 and under are free.
