Green Bay's royal couple, the Hendricksons, shares anniversary with Queen

Philip and Elizabeth (Betsy) Hendrickson, well known both at UW-Green Bay and abroad for their philanthropic efforts, have something in common with Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, including the same first names, wedding date, and 64 years of marriage. For fun, the Hendricksons wrote to the Queen, extending best wishes and noting the coincidences. Royalty responded (via Queen Elizabeth’s II lady-in-waiting)… “The Queen wishes me to write and thank you both for your letter. Her Majesty was interested to hear that, as well as having the same first names as The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, you too were married in 1947, and Her Majesty greatly appreciated your kind message of good wishes for her and His Royal Highness…”  The Green Bay Press-Gazette‘s Dian Page has the full story, worth the read; click here.
