P-G: Student vets reflect at ‘Shadow of War’

The Shadow of War symposium held Friday (Nov. 14) as part of the UW-Green Bay Institute on Dying, Death and Bereavement (and also linked with the year-long, campuswide Common Theme topic) had five student soldiers talking about the transition of going from the battleground to the classroom. “Here I am, this 24-year-old in a classroom with a bunch of 19-year-old kids — that was eye-opening,” John Bahde, a junior who served two tours in Iraq, said.
