UW-Green Bay, others react to NSSE results

UW-Green Bay is not the only university to have instituted changes to enhance student experiences, as the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel describes in a story about the National Survey of Student Engagement results. The article mentions the freshman seminar efforts, and Interim Provost Bill Laatsch pointed out things UW-Green Bay will do in the future to continue to improve. In the past, he said, “We were especially focused on getting researchers who were outstanding in their fields. As we grow the campus further, we’ll look at aspects like the ability or experiences to engage students. More toward the teaching, because that’s fundamentally what we do here.” Read article.
