GRAND CHUTE (WLUK) — A new partnership between UW-Green Bay and Fox Valley Technical College is helping Criminal Justice and Business students continue their education while saving money on tuition.

The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) Thursday at Fox Valley’s Public Safety Training Center.

One pathway offers Fox Valley Technical College students earning an associate degree in Criminal Justice, Asset Protection, Forensic Science and Legal Studies/Paralegal a seamless transfer into UW-Green Bay’s newly launched Criminal Justice major. This initiative also supports calls from city and law enforcement leaders for stronger education collaboration in the field.

The second pathway offers students earning associate degrees in Human Resources, Business Management, Marketing or Supply Chain Management at Fox Valley Technical College to be able to transfer directly into UW–Green Bay’s bachelor’s programs in Management, Marketing, Business Administration (Supply Chain emphasis) or Human Resources Management.

“We are excited about these new options for our students,” said Fox Valley Technical College President Dr. Chris Matheny. “These pathways provide a clear route for students to continue their education, save money and enter the workforce with the skills our region needs.”

Students can begin taking advantage of these pathways immediately, gaining junior status upon transfer and saving thousands in tuition costs.
