Daily Herald, Press-Gazette story memorializes 2009 alumnus Kehl
The Wausau Daily Herald on Tuesday (Oct. 25) featured a touching story about the life of 2009 UW-Green Bay alumnus Matthew Kehl, who was killed in an Oct. 16 car crash in Walworth County. The Green Bay Press-Gazette also carried the story online.
Kehl, 25, is remembered on campus as a student leader, friend and mentor, Dean of Students Brenda Amenson-Hill told the newspaper. Stories continue to emerge about how he impacted the lives of others, added Lisa Tetzloff, director of the Office of Student Life. “He was always reaching out to the loner (students) … he was the kind of guy that grabbed them and connected them with other people,” Tetzloff said. “A lot of people say he’s the reason they are involved in campus activities.”
A visitation for Kehl was held Monday and Tuesday, with a memorial service following Tuesday in Wausau. Read the full story.
