The average 2020 Brown County property tax bill would be about 7.5% less than previous ones, under a $267 million budget proposed Monday. The plan calls for the county to fund several new positions: an economic-development director, a sheriff’s investigator, and a court coordinator for the Veterans’ Service Office. The economic-development director would focus on increasing business activity at Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport, the Port of Green Bay, and the Phoenix Innovation Park at UW-Green Bay.
