Wisconsin alcohol brand among the 10 fastest-growing US businesses

A Wisconsin alcohol brand has been named among the top 10 fastest-growing private companies in America by the business magazine Inc.com.

Carbliss ― the zero-sugar, zero-carb canned cocktail company based in Plymouth, Wis. ― ranked seventh on the 2024 Inc. 5000, a ranking of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in the U.S.

Companies on the list are ranked by percentage revenue growth from 2020 to 2023. To be considered, companies must have had at least $100,000 in revenue in 2020 and at least $2 million in 2023. Over the past three years, Carbliss grew a whopping 27,174%, according to Inc.

Earlier this year, Inc. also released its Inc. Regional: Midwest rankings, highlighting the fastest-growing companies in the region between 2020 and 2022. Carbliss topped the list of 172 companies. In the two-year period, the beverage company grew 7,127%, putting it far ahead of second-place Vyper Industrial out of Green Bay, which grew by 2,613%.

Carbliss was founded in 2018 by Adam and Amanda Kroener, a Sheboygan County couple who worked with the Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation and the Small Business Development Center at UW-Green Bay to launch their business.

According to the company’s website, the Kroeners were following a low-calorie, low-carb keto diet and struggled to find cocktails that fit these standards. Now, Carbliss offers a variety of canned vodka-, tequila- and rum-based cocktails ― including margaritas, mojitos and palomas. Each can has just 100 calories and is sugar-, carb- and gluten-free. Carbliss products are currently available throughout the Midwest and in Arkansas and Louisiana. You can also buy the drinks online.
