New FORWARD program information sessions set for May & June.
Those interested in pursuing a career in nursing or teaching are welcome to attend an information session highlighting the benefits of the FORWARD program, a new collaborative effort between Lakeshore College and the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay.
The program allows students to begin educational journeys in those in-demand fields beginning this fall and stay close to home for the entire journey.
Sessions are set for:
May 19, 6 to 7 p.m., UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus
May 21, 4 to 5 p.m., Lakeshore College, Center for Health Care Excellence
June 10, 9 to 10 a.m., UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus
June 18, 6 to 7 p.m., Virtual
Topics covered during the sessions include an overview of the FORWARD program, curriculum, learning options, course locations, financial aid options and tours.
Session registration and details about the FORWARD program are available at lakeshoretouwgb.com.
The FORWARD program allows students to save thousands of dollars by starting with Lakeshore to complete their associate degree in nursing or foundations of teacher education and seamlessly transitioning to UW–Green Bay to complete their bachelor’s degree in nursing or education.
With an emphasis on learning locally, FORWARD students will complete all courses at the UW–Green Bay Sheboygan campus, Lakeshore’s Center for Health Care Excellence in Cleveland, or online.
