UWGB women’s basketball sent off to March Madness, “embracing every day” | WFRV

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – The Green Bay women’s basketball team was sent off to College Park, Maryland on Thursday ahead of the NCAA tournament First Round. The 12-seed Phoenix will face 5-seed Alabama on Saturday.

First year Phoenix head coach Kayla Karius and her team were surrounded by fans before getting on a bus and heading to the airport. Karius reminded her team that they were one of 68 teams that “get to practice” at this time, and she hoped the program would continue to embrace every day of this March Madness trip.
