UW-Green Bay Women’s Basketball Team wins Horizon League Title | WTAQ

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (WTAQ) — The UW-Green Bay women’s basketball team just defended their Horizon League championship and are heading to the NCAA tournament.

The top-seeded Lady Phoenix beat No.2 Perdue-Fort Wayne 76-73 on Tuesday to claim their second-in-a-row title.

Green Bay extended its win streak to 22 games, the longest since the 2012-2013 season, where they won 24.

It’s the 20th NCAA Tournament appearance for the team. It is coach Kayla Karius’ first season at the helm.
