National higher-ed publication assesses budget controversy in Wisconsin

The online publication Inside Higher Ed devoted a lengthy article earlier this week to the debate over Gov. Scott Walker’s budget repair bill. Headlined “Reversals in Wisconsin,” the Feb. 14 story opens “Governor Scott Walker on Friday proposed a “budget repair” bill that may fix the state budget but could do some real damage to the personal budgets of faculty members and others who work at the University of Wisconsin System.” The article quotes several sources. (Also, as of about 6 p.m. Tuesday, the comments section was fairly civil and reflected a diversity of viewpoints.) Interesting to see how a national publication covers it, click here.
