Students offer take on proposed student loan refinance bill

A couple of UW-Green Bay students spoke Monday (Feb. 3) with WFRV, Channel 5’s Jenn Sullivan, reacting to a bill that would allow college graduates to refinance student loans. State Sen. Dave Hansen, D-Green Bay, is behind the effort, telling Sullivan it makes sense to allow an individual to refinance a student loan much as one can refinance a home or a car. Students Sullivan spoke with said it could help them pay off their debt down the road. Full story.
