“After over 50 years, the underground concourse ‘tunnel’ system that allows University of Wisconsin-Green Bay students to avoid rain, snow and freezing cold is changing.

Cofrin Library, which sits at an intersection of the concourse system, is set to be demolished early next year. That means the tunnels running beneath it will no longer connect.

Students will still be able to get from the academic buildings on the north end of campus to those on the south end, albeit in a roundabout way. But it’ll no longer be possible to make it from the west side of campus to the east side without stepping foot outside.”
