Kraft on Walker: Health care decision extends beyond Wisconsin
Prof. Emeritus Michael Kraft weighed in on Gov. Scott Walker’s divided donors for a Gannett Wisconsin Media story that appeared in several newspapers this weekend. The report centered on Walker’s decision to let the federal government set up a health care exchange in Wisconsin, rather than the state setting it up itself. It’s a move that divided Walker donors, some of whom advocated the opposite course of action, the story found. Kraft said Walker is looking to an audience outside Wisconsin on the issue. “I think he sees himself playing in a larger political arena… .” Kraft said. “It’s a political decision that he and other Republican governors want to take.” Full story.
