Last chance for final digs… er, best wishes… on Franz retirement
Stop in at the Office of Business and Finance yet this afternoon (Thursday) and you’ll find two things: 1) Kelly Franz, the retiring vice chancellor, is taking the afternoon off, presumably to rest up for a final, grueling day of work Friday; and 2) those display boards inviting your humorous and/or heartfelt comments relating to historic photos of Kelly down through the years are out and available in the conference room if you haven’t yet signed them. Stop in any time today or Friday. (P.S. — One of Kelly’s office mates observes that Vice Chancellor Franz, at his farewell gathering Tuesday at Shorewood, was presented with a framed, official state commendation on three decades of service as issued by Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker… and the governor’s sharp drop in at least one key presidential poll in the days since is probably just coincidence. Yes, coincidence.)
