Phuture Phoenix’s Desotell named Director of Development
Congratulations are in order for our own Kim Desotell, who was named today as the next Director of Development in the Division of University Advancement. Desotell is perhaps best known on campus and in the community for her role as director of UW-Green Bay’s signature Phuture Phoenix program, which boosts college aspirations for youngsters from low-income schools. She’s served in that role and as coordinator of the University’s Professional Development Certificate Program since coming to UW-Green Bay in 2007. “Through her experience and leadership with Phuture Phoenix, Kim has established meaningful relationships with UW-Green Bay students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as the broader community,” said Jeanne Stangel, assistant chancellor for University Advancement. “Her strong background in education and exceptional donor stewardship skills, coupled with her energy and clear passion for this institution, will position Kim for success in this critical role. We are thrilled to have her on board.” Desotell will begin her new job on convocation day, Wednesday, Aug. 27. Read our news release.
