Kristin Bouchard named new Assistant Director of Communications
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is excited to welcome alumna Kristin (Van Epern) Bouchard (’93, Communication Processes), as the University’s assistant director of communication. Kristin brings more than 25 years of communication experience including media relations, content creation, internal/external communication, and strategic planning. Most recently, Kristin owned her own freelance writing business where she had the opportunity transform words into stories for a variety of local (including UW-Green Bay’s Inside magazine) and national organizations.
Her work can be seen in US News & World Report, and she was published in the Old Glory Honor Flight’s Return To Nam book featuring stories of 52 Wisconsin Vietnam veterans participating in an Old Glory Honor Flight to Vietnam in February 2019. She has worked in the for-profit and nonprofit sectors in the newspaper, banking, and health care fields.
Her work at UW-Green Bay includes daily content development, both for internal and external audiences, and across multiple platforms. Content priorities support UW-Green Bay brand strategy, student retention, recruitment and the university’s marketing efforts.
Kristin is a member of the Cellcom Green Bay Marathon board of directors and during her free time, enjoys reading, journaling, gardening, socializing at her sons’ sporting events and enjoying Wisconsin’s great outdoors all year long. She lives in West De Pere with her husband, two sons and their rescue dog, Sunshine.
