In the news: Meyer helps analyze gloomy poll on America’s future
WLUK, Fox 11 News called on Communication Prof. Tim Meyer Monday (July 30) for help in analyzing a new poll on America’s future. The Rasmussen Reports poll out Monday shows just 14 percent of those polled believe today’s children will be better off than their parents. Meyer told reporter (and UW-Green Bay alum) Ben Krumholz that political mudslinging and gloomy economic media reports contribute to the pessimism. The economy has to improve and people have to get back to work and feel more confident about spending before things will improve, Meyer added. Full story.
