In the media: Kieper, students talk info security with Fox 11 News

A recent data breach at UW-Parkside was making news last week, and our own Dave Kieper spoke with Fox 11 News about precautions we’re taking here. Kieper, the University’s deputy chief information officer, told Fox 11’s Kelly Schlict about the firewalls and trained professionals that protect important information here. “We watch those servers to see who is allowed to get to those servers,” Kieper said. “It’s a very limited group of people.” Schlict also spoke with several students, each of whom said they feel their information is safe.
