In the news: Vets story quotes Koltz, touches on how we serve veterans

The front page of Monday’s (Jan. 14) Press-Gazette carries a story to which many at UW-Green Bay can relate — it describes the challenges and opportunities for veterans returning to the classroom. And while the story focused on Northeast Wisconsin Technical College across town, it also mentioned UW-Green Bay’s role in making sure student veterans are served. Veterans Services adviser Elaina Koltz spoke about how UW-Green Bay works closely with NWTC, especially when students start there and transfer here. Koltz works with an increasing number of veterans and dependents, helping with benefits, financial aid, community outreach and the Vets 4 Vets student club. Full story.
