Wenger speaks on ‘China: Two Decades of Change’
“China: Two Decades of Change” has been rescheduled:
The new time, date and place are 3:30 p.m. Thursday (Dec. 10) in MAC Hall Room 105.
“China: Two Decades of Change” is the title of a presentation by Prof. Emeritus Robert Wenger at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday (Dec. 8) in Mary Ann Cofrin Hall, Room 105. He’ll offer his reflections on his recent three-week trip back to China. Professor Wenger has long and unguided experience in China dating from a year of residency as an exchange scholar at the Institute for Environmental Science at Beijing Normal University in 1987-88. The Institute is one of China’s premier institutions addressing environmental issues. Dr. Wenger has made seven trips to China and has spent a total of 18 months there over the past 22 years. His observations about the culture and especially its responses to its immense environmental concerns are very intriguing. The presentation is sponsored by Prof. Larry Smith’s Social Change and Development course, Introduction to Global Studies. The session is open to all.
