Student work takes center stage at Lawton, opening today
Fifty-four of UW-Green Bay’s talented student artists will have their work displayed during the Lawton Gallery’s 42nd annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, which opens today (Thursday, Nov. 13) and runs through Thursday, Dec. 4 (please note that the gallery is closed Nov. 27-30 for Thanksgiving). An opening reception will be held from 4:30-6:30 p.m., with awards announced at 5 p.m. Kristina Coopman and Laura Schley, two UW-Green Bay students in the Gallery/Museum Studies program, coordinated the exhibition’s installation and design. The guest juror for the exhibition is Katie Ries, assistant professor of Art at St. Norbert College. As always, Lawton Gallery events are free and open to the public. For more.
