Free Outdoor Hispanic Arts & Culture Festival Returns for 2nd Year on UW-Green Bay Campus
Green Bay, Wis. – Save the date! Saturday, September 14, 2024 – ¡Estamos Aquí! Festival Hispano / Hispanic Arts & Culture Festival returns to the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay campus for 2nd year.
This free to attend, outdoor festival in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month features live music, food trucks, car show, and local artists representing Hispanic communities in an around Green Bay. Banda La Auténtica De Jerez leads the line-up of five bands performing at the festival.
Under the leadership of Hispanic community organizers and volunteers, with support from UW-Green Bay and The Weidner – over 8,000 people attended ¡Estamos Aquí! Festival Hispano in 2023, marking the first year a resounding success. Festival organizers hope to establish ¡Estamos Aquí! Festival Hispano as a staple cultural event in the Greater Green Bay community.
“Mi casa es tu casa” (My house is your house)” says Festival Committee member Rogelio Contreras. “We invite everyone to come and celebrate. This is an opportunity to share and learn what a fiesta means to us as Latinos. We want to share a little piece of our culture, including food, music, and art, that makes us a part of the Green Bay community.”
