Green Bay gets NIT home game vs Belmont Tuesday night
Making its first appearance in a major post-season tournament in 18 years, the Green Bay men’s basketball team will host fifth-seeded Belmont at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday (March 18) at the Resch Center. The 32-team NIT field was announced Sunday evening. The 24-6 Phoenix faces a tough mid-major foe in Belmont (24-9), a perennial NCAA tourney participant in recent years. The Bruins won the regular season title in the Ohio Valley Conference and own victories over No. 12 North Carolina and highly regarded Middle Tennessee State. Tickets on sale at noon today for NIT game
Tickets for Tuesday night’s Belmont-Green Bay NIT opener are on sale today (Monday, March 17). Season ticket holders had first crack, starting at 8 a.m. Tickets will go on sale to the general public at noon and can be purchased at the University Union’s information and ticketing center, or at the Resch Center, by calling TicketStar at 1-800-895-0071, or online at TicketStar.com. Tickets are just $15 for adults and $4 for UW-Green Bay students and anyone 17 or under.
