Friday’s Horizon semifinals have UWGB vs UIC, WSU vs YSU

The Phoenix women’s basketball team (21-8) claimed a spot in the Horizon League semifinals with a 72-55 victory over Valparaiso Wednesday night at the Kress Events Center. Green Bay will meet fourth-seeded UIC in Friday’s second semifinal at 7:30 p.m. The other semifinal, at 5 p.m., matches the second and third seeds, Wright State and Youngstown State.
