UW-Green Bay will host a Christie Theatre visit at 7 p.m. Tuesday (March 6) from a group of American and Ugandan activists seeking to draw attention to the “Invisible Children” of Central Africa. The group known as The Road Team will screen a new movie called “Kony 2012.” It documents the long-running campaign of terror by self-styled rebel leader Joseph Kony of the Lord’s Resistance Army. Torture, abductions, killings and use of child soldiers are said to be common. One of the presenters, Jane Oyella, is a student of quantitative economics at Uganda’s Makere University; she will describe her firsthand experiences and share observations on the war’s impact on the region. You can learn more, in advance.
