Next ‘Teen Connection’ tackles childhood obesity

On the next television broadcast of Wisconsin Public Television’s Teen Connection, a panel of young people and adult experts from Brown County will discuss the dangers of adolescent obesity and present guidelines for maintaining healthy, active lifestyles. Teen Connection: “Teens, Obesity and Nutrition” will air statewide at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14 on Wisconsin Public Television (WPT) and on MPTV in Milwaukee.

The show will focus on Live54218, a local campaign focused on encouraging healthy behaviors around eating and physical activity. UW-Green Bay is a partner in Live54218, and the Teen Connection program will feature Prof. Leanne Zhu’s students discussing their work mentoring kids about healthy lifestyles.

Teen Connection’s co-producers include NEWIST/CESA 7, which is housed in Instructional Services (IS) here on campus. More details about the program.
