Gerontology Center hosting presentations
Reminder: ‘Sixty, single and ready to mingle’
On Thursday, Nov. 11, Prof. Christine Smith (Human Development) and Lisa Neuman will present a talk on “Sixty, single, and ready to mingle: Older singles looking for love on Craigslist.” The 60-minute presentation, sponsored by the Gerontology Center, will be held in the University Union, Alumni Room B from 2 to 3:20 p.m.
Don’t forget the brown-bag on ‘Medical Literacy’
The Gerontology Center is also hosting a brown-bag lunch presentation titled “Medical Literacy” on Friday (Nov. 12). Prof. Emerita Sandra Stokes (Education and Gender Studies) will lead the event in the Gathering Room, Mary Ann Cofrin Hall Room 201, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The information meeting is intended to provide opportunities for students, faculty, and others in the community interested in gerontology to exchange ideas and information.
