Space Grant Consortium holds annual conference
The Wisconsin Space Grant Consortium, headquartered here at UW-Green Bay, is holding its 21st annual Wisconsin Space Conference Thursday and Friday (Aug. 18 and 19) at UW-La Crosse. Titled “Seeing Farther From Space,” the conference is designed to highlight student, staff and faculty research, while also recognizing outreach projects the consortium has supported. Keynote speakers include Jonathan Gardner, Ph.D., Chief of the Observational Cosmology Lab at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center and Deputy Senior Project Scientist for the James Webb Space Telescope; and Robert D. Gehrz, Ph.D., Professor of Physics and Astronomy and Department of Astronomy Chair at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. More than 100 attendees are expected.
