Leif Nelson named new Learn Tech manager

The Information Services Division is pleased to announce that Leif Nelson has accepted the position of LTC Manager effective August 15.  Nelson began working for UW-Green Bay in August 2007 in the Learning Technology Center as an instructional technologist.  Over the past four years he has gained expertise in a variety of instructional technologies including D2L, lecture capture, clickers, second life, web conferencing and Qualtrics.  He has been active in statewide UW System projects such as Quality Matters and the Learning Technology Development Council.  He recently completed a master’s degree in educational technology with a graduate certificate in online teaching from Boise State University.  The LTC Manager position became vacant when Andy Speth resigned to take a position at Learn@UW located on the Madison campus.
