Public Safety offers free self-defense class
Instructors from UW-Green Bay Public Safety will present a free self-defense workshop this week. The program will be offered twice on Wednesday (April 9), from 5 to 7 p.m. and again from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Kress Event’s Center Special Events Room. This hands-on training event will provide basic instruction to include knee and elbow strikes, ground defense, kicks and more. Participants will have the opportunity at the end of the session to participate in training exercises to see how they handle an “attack” with the new skills they have learned. Participants must sign up prior to the event and a waiver, provided at the time of training, must be signed prior to participation. Sign up and indicate your time slot at the Community Center or email Officer Chad Kleman at klemanc@uwgb.edu.
