‘Transgender Equity in the Workplace’ panel and workshop is April 2
Members of the campus community are invited to attend the “Transgender Equity in the Workplace” guest panel and workshop on Thursday, April 2, from 10 a.m. to noon in Phoenix Room B of the University Union. Mara Keisling, executive director at the National Center for Transgender Equality in Washington D.C., will be one of the members on the guest panel which will address and answer questions on the topic of transgender employee equity in the workplace. Other guest panel members include an engineer who assisted her workplace in adopting policy and protocols to facilitate with a smooth transition as she transitioned to a full-time female, and a UW-Green Bay student who will provide the perspective of how students seek employment in a state she says does not provide workplace equity for individuals who are transgender. The guest panel will be followed by a 30-minute workshop.

Workshop is part of Inclusivity certificate program
The April 2 event is presented by the UW-Green Bay Pride Center and Inclusive Excellence initiative. This workshop is a part of the campuswide Inclusivity and Equity Certificate Program for employees. Mara Keisling is the evening keynote speaker for the Inclusivity Health and Art Fair, which will run from 1 to 7 p.m. that day. (Her keynote is 6 to 7 p.m. in the Phoenix Room.) Both the morning guest panel/workshop and the Inclusivity Health and Art Fair are free and open to the public. To register for the Inclusivity and Equity Certificate Program from 10 a.m. to noon.
