Strong showing by Phoenix, for a half, before Badgers prevail
Visiting UW-Green Bay (3-6) jumped out to an early lead and stayed in front for the majority of the first half but a slow stretch near halftime allowed Wisconsin (7-4) to pull away for a 65-54 victory in non-conference men’s basketball action at the Kohl Center on Wednesday. Keifer Sykes put on a show with his lightning quickness and a team-high 14 points, and senior Brennan Cougill posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. The Phoenix returns to the Resch for a four-game home stand starting Saturday night vs. Southern Illinois. For a Phoenix/Badgers recap.
