FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 2, 2026
GREEN BAY, Wis. – UW‑Green Bay and Miron Construction invite media to a milestone moment in campus history: the Topping Out Ceremony for the new Cofrin Technology and Education Center (CTEC), the future gateway to campus and investment in the region’s workforce and future.
A centuries‑old construction tradition, the ceremony marks the placement of the final structural beam at the highest point of the building. This symbolic gesture honors the workers whose skill and dedication have brought the project to this stage. The final beam will carry not only an evergreen tree and an American flag, but the signatures of students, employees, alumni and community members who wish to mark their place in this historic moment.
