Preliminary estimates show 28% enrollment growth since 2020
Green Bay, WI — Preliminary enrollment estimates to be released by the Universities of Wisconsin later today will show continued positive momentum for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, including three percent enrollment growth from last fall. The University continues to be the fastest growing university in the state, with 28% enrollment growth in the last five years. Final numbers will be released by the Universities of Wisconsin later in the fall.
These preliminary estimates reveal a minimum of 312 more learners chose to pursue their educational goals as Phoenix this year compared to a year ago. Additionally, UW-Green Bay served more than 100,000 learners through its Continuing Education and Workforce Training programs in the last year, with additional growth predicted for the current year.
“Growth is critical to serve what our region needs to be economically successful, but it means so much more,” said UW-Green Bay Chancellor Mike Alexander. “It means more people believe in what UW-Green Bay promises learners – the opportunity to rise to their full potential right here in their own backyard by getting a great education that’s affordable. Our momentum continues to accelerate because we are seeing education through what a modern student wants, and our communities need.”
The university’s bold, open-access mission means there is a place for all students to become a Phoenix and continue their education in a way that best meets their needs. Through future-focused academic programs, dedicated academic staff and strong community connections, graduates from UW-Green Bay directly impact regional growth. More than 75% of UW-Green Bay graduates stay in the area post-graduation.
