Welcome back, Phoenix! The past weeks have been filled with action as students return to campus to forge their futures. Here are some highlights, with pictures from UW-Green Bay photographers Josh Buntin, Dan Moore, and Sue Pischke.
- Move-In

Volunteers, families, ambassadors, and students all pitched in to get on-campus residents settled into their homes for the year.
2. New Student Convocation

New students were welcomed in the Kress Events Center, where they were introduced to UW-Green Bay leadership and what it means to be a Phoenix as they kick off the semester.
3. New Student Class Photo

For the first time since the iconic sculpture’s migration, the newest class of future-definers pose in front of the Phoenix statue. This year, it took place in front of the Kress Event Center.
4. Painting the Phoenix

A tradition continues – the Phoenix in front of the union was re-painted, selfies with Chancellor were taken, and memories were made.
5. Student Service Project

First year students learned a bit more about the community in which their new home resides in, and helped make it better by collecting trash during their civic engagement project.
6. Lambeau Field Celebration

After their service project, new students and student ambassadors celebrated the beginning of the semester at Lambeau Field with food, games, and of course lots of dancing!
7. Welcome Dance and Bonfire

To close out an exciting day of events, students celebrated their hard work with a dance and bonfire in Phoenix park.
Congratulations and thank you to all who made these events possible. Welcome and welcome back staff, faculty, and students. Have a fantastic year! Go Phoenix, and let’s RISE!
