Cort Condon Hall UWGB opens first residence hall in over 12 years

We would like to extend a special thanks to Immel for allowing us to share their article. 

Cort Condon Hall is the latest strategic investment in UW-Green Bay’s on-campus housing. It is designed to enhance the educational and community experience at every stage of a student’s university journey. It can accommodate 200 students in two—and four-person suite-style rooms and has ample collaboration space, “neighborhood” lounges, laundry, vending, and gaming areas.

The Dedication Ceremony

On Tuesday, September 10th, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay held a dedication ceremony to celebrate the official completion of its newest student housing facility, Cort Condon Hall.

The building is named after Gerald C. “Cort” Condon, Jr., who played an instrumental role in the project’s planning, design, and construction and serves on the board of University Village Housing, Inc., a private, non-profit group specially formed to develop affordable student housing at UW-Green Bay.

Did you know…?

The building was constructed using cast-in-place concrete for maximum durability, designed to last over 100 years.

Over 95% of subcontractor and vendor work on the project was supplied locally from the Green Bay and Fox Valley areas.

Cort Condon Hall  is the greenest student housing building on the campus.

Project Highlights – Early Project Completion

Our project team completed construction on the residence hall one month ahead of schedule, providing the University additional time to settle in.

Cort Condon Hall is the largest student housing building on UWGB’s campus at 99,900 square feet and four stories tall.
