UW-Green Bay’s Supervisory Leadership certificate creates valuable pipeline of future leaders
Green Bay, WI – UW-Green Bay is meeting the demand for creating strong local leaders in Northeast Wisconsin through its Supervisory Leadership certificate program. Spring semester classes begin on February 9. 2023.
The noncredit certificate program in Supervisory Leadership was developed to prepare team leaders, supervisors, new managers, HR professionals and talent recruiters for greater responsibility and more meaningful contribution to their company and the region. The program’s ease of accessibility and flexible scheduling helps leaders use what they’re learning to immediately impact their organization.
“In regular conversations with business leaders of Northeast Wisconsin, I’ve learned that they are particularly interested in growing talent from within,” said Christopher Ledvina, business development specialist at UW-Green Bay. “This certificate program enhances leadership capacity with immediately applicable skills and tools.”
The certificate is now open for the spring semester with classes starting February 9, 2023. There is a demonstrated connection between strong leadership and company performance, making the Supervisory Leadership certificate particularly relevant in today’s economy. Plus, the certificate is gaining traction. In the fall semester, more than 100 participants registered, representing government, nonprofit and a large number of business sectors. Although courses are available on an ala carte basis, all participants enrolled in the full certificate in the fall semester.
Participants will learn from experts with years of leadership experience in key areas critical to leadership success. Upon completion of essential courses, participants will also develop an action plan as a capstone project. Courses include:
- Understanding Your Strengths and the Strengths of Others
- Developing an Adaptive Leadership Mindset
- Helping Your Team Achieve Organizational Management
- The Roadmap to High Performing Teams
- Conflict Resolution Rather Than Toxic Drama
