Curative testing at UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus to close permanently in one week | 1330 & 101.5 WHBL
In another sign of the evolving COVID-19 pandemic and its prominence, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health has announced that the Curative COVID-19 Testing Site at the UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus will be permanently closing on Friday, October 14th. The DPH advised that those needing a COVID-19 test examine the testing options published at their website here.
In its weekly update, the County DPH says that 88 more cases of COVID-19 were recorded here in the last week, raising the total case count to 33,360. The death count remains at 281. Nine persons are currently hospitalized; three first-time patients were admitted within the past week raising the count of hospitalized persons in the county to 1,322 during the pandemic.
The Sheboygan County Community Level from the CDC is “Low”. There were 104.92 new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 people in the past seven days, up from 100.57 the previous week.
The seven day total of new hospital admissions per 100,000 persons were 7.0 compared to 4.5 the previous week, and the seven day average percent of staffed inpatient beds occupied by COVID-19 patients rose from 3.0 to 3.4%.
