Partial road closures on campus for tomorrow (Dec. 1)

On Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 the campus will host the Jingle Bell Run/Walk at the Kress Events Center at 9 a.m. During the event, there will be partial road closures of Leon Bond Drive, Wood Hall Drive, Main Entrance Drive, Theater Hall Drive, North Circle Drive, and Walter Way between 8:50 a.m. and 10 a.m. Campus buildings and residence life parking lots will be accessible, but traffic might be diverted to an alternative route or parking lot to ensure safety of the participants.

Every year in early December, hundreds of runners in ugly sweaters, elf ears and Santa hats descend upon the UW-Green Bay campus to raise awareness for arthritis by participate in the Jingle Bell Run, starting in the Kress Center. We have the fun photos.

Reminder: Saturday is Jingle Bell Run/Walk

It’s one of UW-Green Bay’s longest-running charitable traditions, as the campus hosts and students help organize the annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis. This year’s edition is Saturday (Dec. 5), starting from the Kress Events Center. Registration starts at 7 a.m., the race at 8 a.m. Bring your UWGB ID and get $5 off the registration at the event. Thanks to Sarah, welcome to Cassie — In her reminder on the Jingle Bell, Stephanie Kaponya also shared the following on a key student leadership position: “With great sadness we say good by to Sarah Wanek Co-Director of the Student Ambassadors who will be graduating in December. With her departure we say welcome to Cassandra Walczak who will be taking her place. We are very excited to have Cassie join the Co-Director team.”

Also Saturday: the big Jingle Bell Run at the Kress

The Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis will set out from the Kress Events Center this Saturday (Dec. 7) with a 9 a.m. start time. You may still register, up to the morning of the event, with a fee of $30 for adults and $20 for students. UW-Green Bay student volunteers are instrumental in making the fundraiser a success. Registrations now open for Jingle Bell Run/Walk 5K for Arthritis

It’s an annual event that draws significant University participation and raises welcome donations for the arthritis foundation. The annual Jingle Bell Run/Walk will take place Saturday morning, Dec. 3, on campus trails starting at the Kress Events Center. You can sign up individually ($20 for t-shirt and more) or as an eight-member team ($22 for a better t-shirt and more). Learn more.
