Employee Appreciation Week, May 13-17

To honor, recognize and show appreciation for all the wonderful work performed across all campuses, the Employee Appreciation Week work group has put together a week filled with recognition and fun! All employees are encouraged to take part. Check out all the activities.

Sending thanks like ‘mad’

It is great to be grateful and there’s no time like Employee Appreciation Week for acknowledging your tremendous fellow UW-Green Bay faculty and staff. Here’s a fun twist on the typical run-of-the-mill thank you note — MadLib style fill-in-the blank cards! For your colleague-thanking-pleasure, the UWGB Madlib Thank You Note download (pdf) includes four designs with a different message in each. Download and print the document (two-sided, default long-edge orientation), cut along the dotted line and fold in half. Then let the creativity flow as you express your gratitude and appreciation for your amazing team. Need another outlet for your gratitude? Don’t forget to send your compliments to richterj@uwgb.edu to post to the HR Facebook Page!

Next Friday, May 11 from 12 to 4:30 p.m., UW-Green Bay faculty and staff have the first pick from the annual plant and vegetable sale (Lab Science Greenhouse). This annual sale, sponsored by Natural and Applied Sciences, began in 1997 with 300 plants for sale. Students benefit from the proceeds that are used to bring in scientists and other speakers that students otherwise would not be able to meet, and to support student research projects as well as travel to conferences where they can present results of their research and meet scientists in their fields. Last year’s sale raised more than $10,000!
