Starting Friday, Nov. 2, 2018, paper straws will be offered as an alternative to plastic straws at all dining locations on-campus.
In honor of National Native American Heritage Month, Multi-Ethnic Student Affairs (MESA) will be hosting author and poet, Heid E. Erdrich on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2018 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Cloud Commons located in UW-Green Bay’s University Union. Chef Corey will be doing a cooking demo with her, using the Global Kitchen station in the Marketplace to feature items from her cookbook, “Original Local, Ingenious Foods, Stories and Recipes.” This luncheon is open to the public and is available for the regular cost of dining in the Marketplace for $6.75, plus tax.

As a result of the focus groups last fall, Chartwells is responding with gluten-free snack shelves located next to beverage coolers in the Garden Cafe. Look for Glutino Snack bars, Glutino Covered pretzels, Blue Diamond Nut Thins (cheddar/ranch) and Mary’s Real Thins (sea salt/garlic rosemary). Also on the menu… Udi’s gluten-free bagels and muffins located in the “On the Go” cooler.
Mark your calendar for this Thursday, October 18 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. when UW-Green Bay Dining hosts a Farmer’s Market outside the Marketplace in the University Union, Green Bay Campus. “Watch for the sale of fresh local produce, baked goodies and seasonal treats to get you feeling Fall, y’all!”

The University Union welcomes Kwik Trip, located on University Ave. next to Festival Foods, as the newest off-campus merchant. Students, faculty and staff can use Pass Points as payment for fuel and convenience store purchases (gift cards, alcohol, cigarettes and lottery tickets excluded). Dining Services will be holding a Pop-Up Farmer’s Market next week Tuesday, Oct. 24 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Market will be outside the Cloud Commons in the hallway across from the The Phoenix Bookstore in the University Union. A variety of seasonal produce and locally sourced sweets and treats will be available for purchase. The market will also host a free Door County Coffee and Tea Co. tasting for students, faculty and staff to sample the new Fall flavors. They will be selling caramel apples and using the proceeds to buy items for the Campus Cupboard.
Coming later this month will be enrollment information for faculty and staff to purchase a FAST Meal Plan for the fall semester. With these plans, you can get meals in the Marketplace inside Leona Cloud Commons for as low as $5.73/meal (FAST 75 Plan) or Transfer/Trade meals from the various retail locations throughout campus. Your FAST meals and points do not expire until used. As an added benefit to the great meals, purchasers of the FAST 75 plan receive a free stainless steel reusable mug that includes unlimited refills of coffee and soda (through Dec. 20, 2017), FAST Points, and a reusable to-go container (allows for take-out meals from the Marketplace). Other plans will be available including FAST 50 and FAST 25 plans as well as FAST points. These plans are sponsored by campus dining partner Chartwells.
