Cofrin School of Business to host Master’s in Management Open House

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Austin E. Cofrin School of Business will host an open house for its Master of Science in Management program from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 in the Phoenix Room of the University Union.

The two-hour event will include a meet-and-greet for faculty and potential students from 5-5:30 p.m., which will be followed by a question-and-answer session featuring faculty and alumni from 5:30-6:15 p.m. From 6:15-7 p.m., information will be provided regarding the program’s simple admission process.

Senior Lecturer of Business Administration Don McCartney said the event will provide present and future students information about the exciting changes in the program’s curriculum. Attendees will also be able to meet with graduates of the program to discuss what they liked about the program and faculty.

The Master of Science in Management program is conveniently designed for management professionals, and it is one of the few business master’s degree programs offered completely via the traditional classroom experience, which allows students to benefit from the collaborative environment and structure. Faculty with real-world experience and academic training provide students the opportunity to interrelate concepts and theories from the classroom to real-world situations through the completion of a professional project.

The Cofrin School of Business accounts for the University’s largest enrollment by major and alumni base, offering associate, bachelor’s and master’s degree options. Austin E. Cofrin, the school’s namesake, embodied entrepreneurship in growing a small Green Bay operation into a world leader in the paper products industry — the Fort Howard Paper Company. UW-Green Bay is a member of AACSB International, the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. For more information on the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business, visit
