UW-Green Bay Theatre Studio and Alternate Theatre presents ‘Exit, Pursued by a Bear’ May 1-3

University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Theatre Studio and Alternate Theatre completes its season with a student directed performance of Lauren Gunderson’s “Exit, Pursued by a Bear,” at 7:30 p.m. May 1-3, 2018 in the Weidner Center.

Recommended for mature audiences, “Exit, Pursued by a Bear” is a smart, dark revenge comedy about a woman named Nan who has decided to teach her abusive husband, Kyle, a lesson. With the help of her friend, Simon, and a stripper named Sweetheart, she tapes her husband to a chair and forces him to watch as they re-enact scenes from their painful past. Through this night of emotional trials and ridiculous theatrics, they are both freed from their past.

  • Kyle is played by Jesse Cotherman, De Pere, WI
  • Nan is played by Haley Ebinal, Green Bay, WI
  • Sweetheart is played by Carly Jossart, Greenville, WI

The play is directed by UW-Green Bay student, Millie Haushalter of Brillion, Wisconsin, with Tara Jackson serving as stage manager. Laker Thrasher will serve as poster design and Shelby Mathew as gun wrangler. Lighting design will be done by Lilly Joyce and sound design will be completed by Chloe Ledvina. Admission is free.
