UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus opens ‘Our Closet’
M&M Area Community Foundation is supporting the program through a grant
Marinette, Wis. — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, Marinette Campus, received $300 from the M&M Area Community Foundation’s Philanthropy Fund which will be used to support Our Closet, which helps Marinette Campus students in need of food, clothing or school supplies.
The Philanthropy Fund was created specifically to support projects throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties that advance community well-being and stability including a “Pay It Forward” component to inspire charitable leadership.
Mathematics Prof. Tonya Estebo and Information Specialist Pam Olson will administer Our Closet.
“Tonya and I, on behalf of the Marinette Campus community, would like to thank the M&M Area Community Foundation for supporting Our Closet,” said Olson. “Sometimes students just need a bit of help to help them through a hard time and to know that the community cares about their success.”
The M&M Area Community Foundation awards grants three times a year to local nonprofits, schools, churches and government entities throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties. The Foundation’s mission is to inspire people to provide lasting legacies which enrich our communities.
