UW-Green Bay to host National Board information session for educators
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay’s Institute for Learning Partnership, in conjunction with the Wisconsin Education Association Council, will host a National Board Certification information session for teachers and counselors from 4:30-6 p.m. Wednesday, April 10 in room 450 of Wood Hall on campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive.
Session participants will have the opportunity to meet National Board Certified teachers and learn about the Institute for Learning Partnership’s candidate support program. Presenters will include Candice Behnke, Patti Jo DeVillers, Sheila Kohl, Sandra Michels and JoAnn Miller.
Candidates may apply for reimbursement of up to $2,000 for expenses incurred in the certification process. Certified teachers and counselors may receive an annual stipend for each subsequent school year for nine years. Teachers who work in a school where 60 percent or more of students qualify for free- or reduced-price lunch are eligible for a $5,000 annual stipend. Certified educators receive their Wisconsin 10-year Master Educator License.
