UW-Green Bay Music faculty to headline March 28 Door Concerts, Inc. event

Six members of the UW-Green Bay Music faculty will perform during the UWGB Chamber Faculty Ensemble concert at 7 p.m. Friday, March 28 at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, 1756 Michigan St., Sturgeon Bay.

Part of the 30th season of Door Concerts, Inc., the event will kick off at 6:30 p.m. with a pre-concert reception, followed by the concert at 7. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for UW-Green Bay alumni and free for all students. Tickets may be purchased at the door (no credit or debit cards accepted).

The faculty musicians who will perform during the concert are Associate Prof. Adam Gaines, trumpet; Associate Prof. Eric Hansen, clarinet; Associate Lecturer Chris Salerno, vocal jazz; Assistant Prof. Courtney Sherman, soprano; Prof. Sarah Meredith, mezzosoprano; and Lecturer Abigail Mace, piano. The program also will feature UW-Green Bay alumnus David Robertson, a music teacher at Algoma High School.

The concert program will range from 17th century early Baroque music to 20th century music theatre. The musicians will be on hand during the pre-concert reception to answer questions and talk with attendees. Apple cider and cookies during the reception will be provided courtesy of UW-Green Bay Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean Scott Furlong’s office.
