One of the most instantly identifiable musicians on the jazz landscape, Joe Lovano is a world-renowned tenor saxophonist, composer, and producer. His numerous accolades include 14 Grammy nominations, winning Best Large Jazz Ensemble Album for 52nd Street Themes. He has also received numerous awards and topped many critics and reader’s polls from DownBeat Magazine, Jazz Times, and the Jazz Journalists Association.

Joe Lovano will perform live, in concert backed by the Green Bay Jazz Orchestra as part of UW-Green Bay Music’s long-running Jazz Fest. Now entering its 52 year, UW-Green Bay Jazz Fest is the second oldest jazz festival in Wisconsin. Founded in 1970 by former UW-Green Bay Music professors, Wayne Jaeckel and Lovell Ives, Jazz Fest gives middle school and high school bands the chance to work with college level educators fostering one of the great American art forms.
