UW-Green Bay to offer spring online Spanish in the Professions course

The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay this spring is offering an online course in Spanish in the Professions, a program that can help those in business, teaching, law enforcement, health care and customer service learn Spanish.

Scheduled to start on Saturday, Feb. 7, this online Spanish course will be taught by experienced instructors who will guide students through a highly interactive online text. Face-to-face or video/audio chat meeting times for language practice are scheduled throughout the spring. The program provides an intensive language-learning experience for all levels of Spanish-language learners. Registration is due by Feb. 2.

The Spanish in the Professions program is designed with customer service representatives, call center employees, hospitality workers, social workers, bankers, teachers and health care workers in mind. Adults interested in traveling to Spanish-speaking countries will also find this helpful. Students will participate in language classes by skill level. An online pre-test will determine a student’s skill level.

Fees for the program are $295 for noncredit instruction, $524.86 for two undergraduate credits in Spanish or $848.94 for two graduate credits in Education.
